Through the Joint Committee of Girl Guides in Denmark, The Green Girl Guides are members of The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
All international invitations presented by the Green Girl Guides are issued by either WAGGGS or a WAGGGS member. This includes activity materials, seminars and camps.
The Green Girl Guides have appointed an International Commissioner and a Vice International Commissioner who both strive to make international events available to girl guides. You can contact them by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org
The Joint Committee of Girl Guides in Denmark is chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte.
The Joint Committee organizes multiorganisational courses, heads international projects and manages the travel scholarship foundation, Dronning Ingrids Rejsefond which upon application donates funds for girl guides to join events hosted by The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
The Joint Committee comprises several sub-committees. The objective with these committees is to provide girl guides with an opportunity to enjoy an international experience through the many offers extended by the world’s associations.
- In Denmark, WAGGGS’ initiatives aim to expand the awareness and knowledge of international guiding, also in every single girl guide, in order to spur in even more girl guides the desire to become involved and take an interest in international guiding. Another aim is to attract international WAGGGS events to Denmark in order to tell the world about Danish guiding and Denmark about international guiding and WAGGGS.
- The ‘Guides Joining the World’ programme ensures Danish participation in international events and representations.
- The ‘Imagine More’ course comprises a basic course and a top-up course focusing on personal development with an introduction to WAGGGS.
The committees always welcome dedicated girl guides with the right qualifications who would like to join our international work. Contact – email@example.com
